This Main DPS build for Ningguang aims at increasing her overall DMG with the new Nighttime Whispers in the Echoing Woods artifact set released in Version 4.3, which is her new best-in-slot in an ideal situation where she can keep up its conditional buffs. If you don't have this set yet, you can work with a 2-piece Archaic Petra and any 2-piece ATK artifacts (like Gladiator's Finale). If you already have godly rolls on your previous set's substats, you may choose not to farm the new set if it can make up the slight difference.
